Nasheed: Farshee El Torab - My bed is made of dust

El salamo alkioum brothers and sisters, I thought I would share with you a nasheed that makes us all think about our end and if we are ready to meet Allah.

The Nasheed tells us that that when we die, it is just our good deeds that will make all the difference. It is not about how rich, or famous we were, or how big our family was or even how much our friends cared about us. When we die, we are alone in a grave of dust with nothing but your deeds that will decide on your final destination. My bed is made of dust and it is also my cover
(Farshee El Torab Yadomonee wa howa ghataa’ee)
Sand is surrounding me and is behind me
(Hawlee el reemal talofonee bal min waaraa’ee)
And the grave is too dark reflecting my tribulation
(Wa al lahd yahkee zolmaton feiha ebtelaa’ee)
And The Light (referring to Allah) has set my death time

Where is my family’s love to me now? They no longer know me
(wa al ahloo einaa hananahom, baoo wafaa’ee)
Where are my friends? They no longer with me
(wa el sohab einaa gomoahom, tarakoo akhaa’ee)
Where is the luxury of having money now? It is all behind me
(wa al maal aynaa hanaa’hoo, saara waraa’ee)
People no longer praise me
(wa al maal aynaa bareqahoo bina al thanaa’ee)
This is my end- my bed is dust

And the big universe is now too narrow for me
(wa al kawnoo daqa bewesaahoo, daqat fadaee)
My grave has become my earth and sky
(fa al lahdo sara b gothatee ardee samaa’ee)
This is my end- my bed is dust

Fear fills my loneliness and I feel miserable
(wa al khawfoo emlaa’ ghorbatee wa al hozno daa’ee)
I hope Allah makes me stronger in my loneliness as this is my only cure
(arjo al thabatee, wa enhaoo qasaman dawaa’ee)
I truly pray to Allah as He is my savior
(wa al rabo adwoo mokhlesan, anta rajaa’ee)
Oh Allah I wish I go to the blissful paradise
(abghee elahaee janatan feiha hanaa’ee)
