Al Salam Alikoum dear sisters and brothers

Translation

Ash-hadu anna Muhammadar-RasulullahCome to prayer -twice
Hayya ‘ala-s-Salah, hayya ‘ala-s-Salah. Come to salvation- twice
Hayya ‘ala-l-falah, hayya ‘ala-l-falahAllah is Great -twice
Allahu AkbarThere is no god but Allah
la ilaha illa-llahAs for the dawn prayer, the muezzin adds, after the second "Come to salvation," the phrase "Prayer is better than sleep" twice.
Also, muslims hearing the adhan, must repeat it with a low voice, but in the place of the 4th and the 5th elements, they say "There is no strength nor power but in Allah".
While the performance of adhan is melodious, there are no fixed melodies. The muezzin is free to modulate the sentences to what he feels is best. The adhan is also used in connection with the birth of a child, when the father reads the adhan into the ear of his newborn child.
Finally, on completion of Adhan, Muslims are recommended to recite the following dua (supplication).
O Allah! Lord of this complete call & Prayer of ours, by the blessing of it
Allahahumma Raba Hazee Il Da'wa Tit Tamma Was Salatil Al Qa’ema .
Give to Muhammad his eternal rights of intercession, distinction and highest class (in paradise,).
